Queen Victoria Building

Occupying an entire city block on the site of the city’s first markets, the cathedral scale Queen Victoria Building is rich in history and elaborate architecture. The Romanesque building fills a city block bounded by George, Market, York and Druitt Street. Magnificent stained glass windows and 19th century architecture remain through the grand building.

The QVB houses over 200 of the finest fashion, jewellery and homeware boutiques as well as splendid cafes and restaurants. Indulge yourself with the many fascinating exhibitions and attractions of the building. With much anticipation, there is a letter from Queen Elizabeth II to be opened and read by the Lord Mayor of Sydney to the citizens in the year 2085 at the Town Hall outside the Queen Victoria Building.
