Wander in awe as you take the Balmoral Beach to Chowder Bay walk. On this 6 kilometre walk be marveled by the stunning panoramic views of Sydney Heads, the Pacific Ocean, the eastern suburbs and the city skyline. Head diagonally across the Balmoral oval. Cross the wooden bridge and head up 90 metres of paved stairs surrounded by bush-land home to some of Australia’s native birds.

Once you reach the top, cross Middle Head Road and take the gravel path toward Georges Heights and continue into Sydney Harbour National Park. Explore along the headland and soak up the magical views of Sydney Harbour. At the road, turn right to enter Georges Heights Army Barracks, which is now used as a set of artists studios, turn left and take a break and relax, perhaps even set up a picnic on the grass lookout.

Continue walking straight until you reach a set of stairs that leads you through bush-land and down into Chowder Bay. Enjoy a snack at one of the cafes or just chill out by the beach and watch the waves roll in. If your feeling fit then continue around the track to Bradleys Head, through Athol Bay and onto Taronga Zoo where you can play with the animals before jumping on a ferry back to the city.
